Annual Program and Budget for FY 2012/13 is approved and under implementation.

National Adaptation Program of Action (NAPA), Local Adaptation Plan of Action (LAPA) and LAPA Framework is developed and approved.

Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR), National Climate Change Support Program (NCCSP), Second National Communication Project (SNC-II), Technology Need Assessment (TNA) projects are in implementation.

Government Integrated Data Center (GIDC) is established in Singhadurbar premises and initial works for the establishment of alternative data center is under way.

Seven Technology Exibitions has been held from 2060 to 2067 BS in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dharan, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi, Chitwan, Lekhnath respectively.

Technical Cooperation Project cycles - six are in implementation and three will start from 2014 - for the use of Isotopes are being implemented with the support of International Atomic Energy Agency.

About twenty standards and policy decisions have been approved/made for controlling environment pollution or degradation.

A total of 105 Terms of Reference and Scoping Documents for different projects have been approved.

A total of 148 Environment Impact Assessments have been approved.

Working as a focal point for various organizations like UNFCCC, UNEP, SAARC Documentation Centre, IAEA, etc.

Working as a focal point for various programs and international conventions like Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, Basel Convention on Control of Transboundary Movement of Hazarduous Waste and their Disposal, SAICM QSPTF, CDM DNA, ICGEB and technical focal point for OPCW, CTBT, etc.

NR for various Regional Project Agreements being supported by IAEA.

Focal point for Working Group on Biotechnology, SAARC.

Agreement is reached with Government of India for the establishment of Institute of Technology in Far Western Development Region of Nepal. 

Program of Cooperation (POC) with Government of India has been signed in 2002 for working in 10 different sectors of Science and Technology field.

Two Science and Technology Exibitions were held under this POC the first in New Delhi (Information Technology, 2060 BS) and Kathmandu (Aeromatic and Herbal Plants, 2062 BS).

Agreement with Kyushu University, Japan to do Collaborative Research in Biotechnology (2006) has been reached and a research project on Fermented Food Products is being conducted in collaboration with Kathmandu University and Kyushu University through this agreement.
